"The Promise of Spring" by Katherine Ransom
I painted this piece as my father was in and out of the hospital fighting Covid pneumonia and while the country was being torn apart. As conditions worsened, my mood shifted and I began to brace myself for a bigger storm. Slowly and intermittently there were signs of improvement and hope. Every storm runs out of rain. What’s left in the aftermath is the promise of a new season, which brings the chance for rebirth and to strengthen our resolve.
