"Solar Sisters" by Rebecca Carter

I have been with Splash Gallery since 2015. I am honored to be a part of such a group of talented and gifted artists. I am an abstract/mixed media artist who loves nature and beautiful bold colors. My work reflects my moods and my environment. At times I have a general idea where my painting or resin sculpture will take me but most often I let the materials and paint take me where they want to go. Those are my most satisfying pieces. I often combine earths treasures in my human made art.

This year my piece for our spring unveiling is titled Solar Sisters. It’s an eclectic piece that represents the earth, space and my wild imagination. It is what I wish I could see when I look up at the night sky and what I imagine our solar system looks like.
